20 Block Circle Generator

A 20 block circle is the sweet spot for a round room you can actually furnish. The 2x2 center means it pairs neatly with a 2 wide central pillar, a staircase shaft or a fountain.

Block counts for a 20 block circle

  • Hollow outline (1 block wall): 60 blocks
  • Filled disc: 316 blocks
  • Widest row: 20 blocks
  • Center: a 2x2 center square

Building advice for this size

  • Build the four widest rows first — top, bottom, left and right — then fill the arcs between them.
  • With a 20 wide outline you can afford a 2 or even 3 block thick wall and still keep a 14 block interior.
  • Place torches every 6 blocks around the inside of the ring while you build; the curve makes it easy to lose your place.
  • Stack the same ring 4 to 6 layers high for a squat tower, or 20+ layers for a lighthouse.

Other circle sizes

Smaller: 15 block circle. Larger: 25 block circle. Or open the full circle generator for any diameter up to 256.
