How to choose a size

Small circles have very few blocks to work with, so they always look slightly angular. From about 15 blocks across the curve starts to read properly, and by 25 the outline looks genuinely round from ground level. Above 50 the shape is smooth but the material cost grows quickly — a filled 100 block disc is nearly 8,000 blocks.

Odd or even?

Odd diameters have one true centre block, which matters if you want a beacon, a pillar or a fountain jet in the middle. Even diameters have a 2 x 2 core, which suits doorways and 2-wide staircases. Neither is rounder than the other — pick by what goes in the middle.

Matching shapes together

A dome sits neatly on a tower when both use the same diameter, and the widest layer of a sphere is exactly the circle of the same size. Keep the diameter consistent across the circle, tower and dome generators and the parts line up without adjustment.
