Building advice for this size

  • Mark the center block, then measure 7 blocks north, south, east and west. Those four points are the widest rows and columns.
  • The corner arcs are where hand-built circles go wrong. Copy the exact run lengths from the row instructions instead of eyeballing them.
  • 15 wide is a comfortable house footprint: the interior is 13 across, enough for furniture along the walls and a table in the middle.
  • If you plan to dome this circle later, keep the diameter odd so the dome crown also lands on a single block.

Frequently asked questions

How many blocks do I need for a 15 block circle?
The hollow outline uses 40 blocks. Filled in it uses 177 blocks. Both numbers come from the same cell-center calculation shown in the blueprint above.
Why do odd circles look better?
An odd diameter has a single center block, so the four widest rows are the same length and the arcs mirror perfectly in every direction. Even circles are symmetrical too, but the 2x2 core can look slightly flat at small sizes.
What is a 15 block circle good for?
Round cottages, wizard towers, small arenas and tree platforms. It is also the smallest size where a 2 block thick wall still leaves a usable interior.
